 Myakka City is a community in southeastern Manatee County.  It lies along State Road 70  near the city of Bradenton.
Myakka River Trail is Sarasota County's only waterfront community on the Myakka River. The Myakka was designated a Florida Wild and Scenic River by State legislature in 1985. It is one of only two rivers in Florida to be recognized with this special status.Offering a secluded and natural setting, Myakka River Trail is a private, gated community featuring amenities that include private horse and nature trails, a clubhouse with community pool, lighted tennis courts and playground.
